"My 'Fractured Paintings,' which people often tell me they “have never seen anything
like it” are broken clay pieces suspended in place at different angles and
depths, so from several feet away they look like one piece, but when viewed
close-up, the individual pieces are realized.   I developed this technique partly
by merging several of my previous pieces/ideas together and partly from experimenting
with a mistake that occured in the studio.  They are composed by standing on a ladder.  They contain energy and  movement."
